I'm a touch late in uploading this one, sorry. I got a touch caught up in another project and forgot this was still sitting on my hard drive all lonely like.

Whole working on Wings, I came to realize that the minimalists really were on to something, though they took the whole thing just a bit way too far. There really is a beauty and power to simple things. A beauty and power that I often forget about and lose in neurotic complexities and detail. After the initial sketch for this piece, I decided that I needed to keep as much of that as possible and resist the urge to toss in distractions and what not into the background (it's just so easy to do that).

This piece was created entirely in Painter IX. It's digital, though I'm not too sure what kind of digital (well, it's definitely not a photo manip ). Whether it's more drawing or painting, I haven't a clue. It's both, so I ended up tossing it in the mixed media section after a brief freighting flash back to my professors relentlessly asking me the difference between a drawing and a painting.
